1. Your contact file
XLSX, XLS or CSV. Shopify customer exports, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Google Contacts and Outlook exports are recognised and their columns mapped automatically. Any table with names, emails or phone numbers works.
2. Columns and rules
Check the column mapping. An unmapped column is simply not used for matching; it stays in the final file.
3. Duplicate groups
Each group shows why the rows were matched. Pick the row to keep, exclude a row that does not belong, or split the group. The green row is the merged result: you can edit it.
4. Download
The deduplicated file keeps exactly the columns and order of your file, one row per group at the position of its first row. The merge log lists every merge with the original row numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Does it merge the customers inside Shopify?
No, it does not connect to your store. Use the "Duplicates only" file as a worklist for Shopify's built-in merge, two customer profiles at a time. Re-importing a CSV does not merge existing customers or their orders.
How are Gmail addresses handled?
With the Gmail option on, dots and +suffixes are ignored, so jane.doe+promo@gmail.com and janedoe@gmail.com are treated as the same customer.
Two customers share a phone number. Will they be merged?
Not if you tick the option that keeps a phone shared by different first names apart, which covers household landlines and company switchboards. Each group shows why it was matched, and you can split it.
Where do I get the customers export?
In Shopify admin, Customers › Export, as CSV. The tool recognises its columns automatically. The file is read in your browser and never sent to a server.
What does it cost?
Up to 200 rows, the download is free. Above that, every duplicate group is still shown before you pay and the download costs $4.99 for 24 hours or
