Frequently asked questions

Which Shopify exports do I need?

Only the Shopify Payments transactions export is required (Finance › Payouts › Export). Add the orders export for gross sales, discounts, shipping, taxes and tips per payout, and the payouts list export for bank references.

Why doesn't my payout match my sales?

A payout only holds Shopify Payments transactions. PayPal, manual and gift card payments settle elsewhere, refunds of older orders are deducted, and chargebacks, their fees and currency conversion fees come out before the deposit. The statement lists each item.

What does my bookkeeper do with it?

Each statement ends with a suggested journal entry that balances to the cent against the payout: bank for the net deposit, fees and refunds as debits, sales, shipping, taxes and tips as credits. It can be entered in QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or Wave by hand.

Do I need to install an app or give store access?

No. You download the CSV exports yourself and they are parsed in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing connects to your store.

What does it cost?

The statements are shown on screen before you pay. Downloading the PDF and Excel costs $4.99 for 24 hours of access or

4.99 for 30 days, one-off payment, no subscription.
